Our approach to Intellectual Capital appraisal

Our approach follows well-established methodologies, based on our own practical experience and the best ideas in the emerging  science and art of IC appraisal. We identify the main measures of success in delivering your company’s strategic objectives. We classify these measures into types of intellectual capital, such as:-

human capital, comprising the staff’s expertise, knowledge and commitment;

client or customer capital, reflecting the company’s paying relationships;

and other categories dealing with technology, innovation and management systems.

Interacting closely with you, we assign values to these measures. You can then track the movement in these numerical indicators in the future, allowing you to see, and manage, the trends in the various components of intellectual capital. Usually, a company can do this with its own staff. We can help the company to distil its intellectual capital measures into a unified index of intellectual capital, the movement in which will indicate how well the company is laying the basis for future wealth creation. The outcome is unique to each business, being driven by the firm’s strategy, expertise, technology and market position.
